Donovyn Hunter and Kennedie Shuler currently live some 300 miles apart. Next year, they'll be Oregon State teammates. Friday, they were opponents, leaders of their team looking for a berth in the Class 6A girls basketball state championship game. It was over almost as quickly as it started, as Hunter's South Medford Panthers overwhelmed Shuler's Barlow Bruins 71-33 at Chiles Center. Hunter looked the part of a future college standout. The 6-foot guard hit 9 of 12 shots, scored 23 points and had four assists, four steals and four rebounds.
